Mabie Todd Blackbird - Up here is a vintage Mabie Todd Blackbird Self-Filling pen, which was manufactured in England circa 1940s. This is a new old stock item, glossy in excellent condition black chased hard rubber. There is an intact label at the barrel end. The pen comes with its original paper giftbox.
The pen is in nice condition, in stunning black chased hard rubber, with only minimal discoloration, very attractive and highly collectible pattern. The pen is superbly detailed, with'JACKDAW' signature on the top back and barrel with nice'JACKDAW' embossed. The pen bears a 14ct gold plate nib.
A new ink sac has been fitted to the pen. The self-filler system is in perfect working order. The pen has been serviced and tested for its full functionality. This stylish Blackbird is a fine example of Mabie Todd - The pursuit of excellence.
