Creator of the Zodiac Rabbit Pen, Michael Hsu, employed the same techniques as in the making of the Zodiac Rat Pen in this creation. The hollow, circular midsection houses the converter, with the exterior brushed, silver-plated, and coated with a translucent blue-green painting. Adorned with flora at the top half with rabbits surrounding it at the bottom half, the corresponding Year of the Rabbit vis-à-vis the sexagenary cycle is inscribed on the crown of pen, as with other pens in this series. The cap and the barrel are both made with Japanese bakelite, and is inlaid with 14 natural mother-of-pearl jewels each, making up a total of 28.

Wholly hand-crafted in a complex process, each pen is one-of-a-kind due to the use of natural materials that result in a different sheen in each pen.
