VINTAGE 1940s WATERMAN CITATION FOUNTAIN PEN, IN BOX, RESTORED

Vintage 1940s Waterman's Citation fountain pen, restored and ready to write! Waterman introduced its Taperite line in the mid-1940s to compete with Parker's incredibly successful "51", which featured a unique hooded nib. The most elegant Taperite model was the Citation, sporting a very broad gold-filled cap band similar to that on Sheaffer's Triumph pens. Here are the details on this beautiful example. Taperite model, with streamlined section and small semi-hooded nib.

Approximately 5-1/4 inches long capped. Black celluloid cap, Taperite section, and barrel.

Gold-filled clip with Waterman's imprint, box-style lever, and 1-inch wide cap band with grouped vertical lines. Restored lever filler works just as it should to fill the pen completely. 14k gold nib is F/firm and smooth.

Hinged blue leatherette box, very good condition (small stained area on lining, loose elastic). Please look carefully at the photos-they're an important part of the description. This pen has been restored to proper function, tested with high-quality fountain pen ink, and hand polished.
